Measuring Change

Outcomes and impact measurement is increasingly becoming an essential area of practice for organisations that engage volunteers. Through sector consultation and scoping, Volunteering WA has identified a gap in capacity and resources within the volunteer sector to measure impacts that volunteer activities have for volunteers, organisations and the communities they serve.

Measuring Change is a two-year project supported by Lotterywest that aims to build the capacity of the volunteer sector to measure and communicate the outcomes and impacts of volunteer activities. Through co-design, a team of 12 volunteer involving organisations are contributing to the development of an innovative, fit-for-purpose toolkit for measuring outcomes that is designed by the sector, for the sector.

Volunteering WA is grateful to representatives of the following organisations currently engaged in live-testing and co-designing the Measuring Change toolkit: Bethanie, Bush Heritage, Busselton Hospice Care, Chorus, Good Sammy Enterprises, Little Things for Tiny Tots, Scouts WA, St Patrick’s, St John WA, North Metropolitan TAFE (Read, Write Now), Tennis West and VWA Corporate Volunteering.
