Corporate Volunteering

Connecting businesses with local volunteering opportunities

Volunteering WA manages a highly reputable, professional and comprehensive corporate volunteering service. The Corporate Volunteering Program provides valuable and meaningful experiences to corporate employees and much needed support and resources to the Western Australian community.

Corporate members provide their employees with volunteering leave, which is often tied to their corporate social responsibility priorities and employee engagement goals. From there, their employees can attend corporate volunteering team days where they will contribute to their community through team-based and skills-based volunteering at a variety of different organisations.

Types of Corporate Volunteering

Team-Based Volunteering

Team based projects are one day projects completed within normal business hours (Monday to Friday) by teams ranging from 5 to 50 volunteers.

Volunteer activities could include tree planting, gardening for aged care clients, packing baby hampers for new parents, repairing bikes for youth programs, painting and site maintenance, wildlife rehab, food preparation for families in need, sorting and packing donations. Volunteering WA manages all logistics, including planning, coordination and support, making participation smooth and low-effort for your organisation.

Skills-Based Volunteering

Skills based volunteering involves discrete one on one projects in which a corporate volunteer utilises their individual or workplace skills to assist a non-for-profit or community organisation.

Project commitments are generally 8-12 hours spread across a few weeks or months and are tailored to suit an employee’s Volunteer Leave Allowance. Projects include skills in areas such as Human Resources, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Project Management, Risk Assessment, Mentoring and Coaching, and many more.

  • Evaluation
We collect feedback from employee volunteers and beneficiary organisations to determine your impact and provide an end-of-year report.
