Volunteering WA is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Finance who thrives in a purpose-driven environment and is passionate about supporting meaningful community outcomes. In this key management role, you will provide expert leadership of our finance function and ensure strong financial stewardship, governance and compliance, while delivering the insights and advice needed to support confident decision-making and long-term organisational sustainability.
Working closely with the CEO and Executive Management Team, you will be a trusted adviser on financial strategy, governance, risk and compliance. You will provide high-quality reporting and analysis, oversee robust financial systems and controls, and ensure our resources are managed effectively to advance our strategy and purpose.

About the role
As Senior Manager Finance, you will provide expert, hands-on leadership of the organisation’s finance function, driving operational excellence and ensuring the effective stewardship of financial resources.
You will:
- Provide trusted financial advice and insights to the CEO, Executive Management Team, Board and Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
- Ensure strong financial governance, compliance, audit and risk management.
- Oversee finance operations, systems, controls and reporting integrity.
- Support organisational planning, funding proposals, grants and project financial management.
- Develop and maintain effective financial policies, processes and systems.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
- Lead and develop the Finance Team through a supportive and collaborative approach.
This role is ideal for a conscientious and detail-oriented finance professional with strong integrity, sound judgement and a commitment to excellence.

- This is a Permanent Part-Time position (4 days/0.8 FTE)
- Plus 12% employer superannuation contribution
- Plus PBI salary packaging of up to $18,549 per year

About you
You are a collaborative and influential leader who can translate complex financial information into clear, practical advice. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels and take pride in delivering accurate, reliable and timely work.
You will bring:
- Relevant finance or accounting qualifications, preferably with professional accreditation such as CPA or CA, or progress towards accreditation.
- Proven experience managing an end-to-end finance function, leading high-performing finance teams and balancing organisational priorities.
- Sound knowledge of funding agreements, acquittals, compliance, reporting and audit requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver relevant, timely and compliant financial reporting and analysis.
- Confidence advising executives, managers, Boards and key stakeholders.
- Strong systems capability and confidence using financial management platforms and technology.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement and achieving positive outcomes.
- Experience within the not-for-profit or community sector will be highly regarded.
