Past participant turned volunteer, Molly has Gen Alpha’s mental health at the front of her mind.

Molly has been volunteering since she was 12, and she is currently a volunteer with Zero2Hero, an organisation dedicated to educating, engaging and empowering young heroes to become mental health leaders.

Zero2Hero runs a variety of school programs and camps to give young heroes the tools they need to become mental health leaders in their communities. Molly helps deliver these camps and activities, but she is so much more than that.

She role models vulnerability and authenticity, allowing space for teenagers to figure out who they are, step up into the leader they are and continue the ripple of change for generations to come.

Molly helps deliver Camp Hero events, which help young people open up about their mental wellbeing.

Beyond mentoring on camp, Molly has supported school expos, volunteered at Zero2Hero’s In Your Head event, and stepped into leadership as a member of their Youth Leadership Team. Always wearing her heart on her sleeve and willing to do difficult roles, Molly inspires her peers to show up with care and commitment for the sake of young people across WA.

To me, volunteering is about showing up, demonstrating genuine care, and committing to making a positive difference. It gives me an incredible sense of purpose and fulfillment, and I love seeing the impact of the work I do.” said Molly.

“Volunteering fills my cup—it energises me and reinforces why I choose to give my time. I believe it’s so important to make space for the things you love, because when you’re passionate about what you do, it leads to more meaningful outcomes—not just for others, but for yourself as well.”
