Marketing & Communications Audit Project

This is a skills-based corporate volunteering opportunity with Vic Park Community Centre.

Help the Vic Park Community Centre team

Vic Park Community Centre is a vibrant community hub that delivers a diverse range of programs, services and venue hire opportunities for local residents and organisations. Committed to strengthening community connection, participation and wellbeing, the Centre is continually looking for ways to maximise its impact while making the most effective use of its resources.

Vic Park Community Centre is seeking an experienced professional with expertise in marketing, communications, branding or business improvement to undertake a review of its current marketing and promotional activities. With a variety of digital and traditional channels currently in use, the Centre is looking for someone who can provide an objective assessment and practical recommendations to improve efficiency, increase engagement and strengthen outcomes.

This project will provide significant value to Vic Park Community Centre by improving operational efficiency, enhancing community awareness and participation, increasing utilisation of programs and venue hire services, and supporting long-term income generation. It will also equip staff with practical processes, tools and knowledge that can be maintained well beyond the project period.

What’s involved

The project may be completed either on-site at Vic Park Community Centre or off-site, depending on agreed arrangements.

It is anticipated that this project may take up to two months to complete; however, Vic Park Community Centre welcomes your expertise and guidance regarding the timeline. To ensure participation aligns with volunteer entitlements, corporate volunteers will be asked to commit no more than 12 hours throughout the project.

Key action items include:

  1. Reviewing and assessing current marketing, branding and community engagement activities across digital and physical channels.
  2. Identifying opportunities to streamline proceses, improve efficiency and leverage technology or automation where appropriate.
  3. Recommending marketing priorities and approaches that deliver the greatest impact for available staff time and resources.
  4. Supporting the implementation of improvements, providing staff training and conducting a follow-up review to ensure sustainable outcomes.

They are seeking an individual with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Marketing and communications
  • Branding and brand strategy
  • Community engagement
  • Information technology and automation

To apply

Vic Park Community Centre requires volunteers to hold a National Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check (WWCC), which will be arranged on your behalf.

If you are passionate about helping community organisations work smarter and achieve greater impact, your expertise and support would be highly valued in the success of this project.
