The Volunteering Community Reference Group was established to provide direct advice to the Minister for Volunteering on issues and trends in the volunteering sector and to support the implementation of the WA Volunteering Strategy. Formally convened in by Volunteering WA in 2018, the VCRG brings together diverse expertise to promote collaboration and improve outcomes for volunteers across Western Australia.
The Reference Group includes representatives from the peak body Volunteering WA, the Department of Communities and the volunteering sector, with a mix of metro and regional-based members. Members of the Volunteering Community Reference Group are appointed for up to two years.
