Volunteer Management Network
The Volunteer Management Network provides Volunteer Managers and Coordinators with the opportunity to discuss and share ideas, developments and concerns relating to volunteer management programs.
The Network was formed with the following objectives in mind:
- Supporting each other in issues relating to the management of volunteers through the sharing of information and experiences, discussion and problem solving at a strategic level.
- Providing the opportunity to have a collective and strong voice in order to provide feedback to VWA and Government on current developments affecting volunteering in Western Australia.
- Promoting the Management Network and related VWA opportunities for managers and coordinators of volunteers at all levels.
As the peak body for volunteering in Western Australia and the custodian of the National Standards for Involving Volunteers in Not For Profit Organisations, Volunteering WA works with the Volunteer Management Network to advance volunteering, and all forms of community participation. It provides access to resources and training to promote high levels of professionalism and service within the volunteering sector.
Volunteer Management Network meetings are held approximately every two months at City West Lotteries House in West Perth. Each meeting runs from 9.30am - 12 noon, with time given for covering a specific topic of interest and informal discussions amongst participants. For the date of the next meeting click here.
