VIRA Training - volunteer management database

time: 09:30 to 11:30 location: VWA office, City West Lotteries House, 2 Delhi St, West Perth, 6005.

Join a small group to learn how to use VIRA as a volunteer management tool.  You’ll be amazed at how many things VIRA can do for you:  record volunteers’ details, contribution in hours, services provided, recognition, reimbursement and training undertaken. Plus VIRA is useful for internal and external management with committees, funding submissions, organisational strategic planning and funding reports.

This session is suitable for Volunteering WA members who are just about to start using this database.

Older volunteers: an invaluable resource

time: 09:30 to 12:30 location: City West Lotteries House, 2 Delhi Street, West Perth, 6005

Presented by Dr Megan Paull

Older volunteers bring a wealth of experience and wisdom to volunteer involving organisations, and yet, at times, their presence can pose dilemmas for managers, and peers.

In this workshop we will explore the sensitive issues associated with managing older volunteers whose powers may be waning, whose capabilities may be changing, and whose experience and wisdom is incalculable.  We will also explore the dangers of applying a “one size fits all“ approach, and consider how to avoid applying stereotypes which may invade our thinking and influence our actions.

Cost: $77 for VWA financial members and $99 for non VWA/non financial members

If you are paying by credit card please register online using the link below.

**If you require an invoice then please register by calling Gilda Davies, Training and Development Manager on 9482 4304.**
